Sorghum Brownies (vegan, gluten free)

Inspiration: my roommate from freshman year!

Adjectives: savory, gooey, chocolatey, gritty


1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup raw sugar
2 eggs (use vegan egg replacement)
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup GF flour
5 tablespoons cocoa
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts in my case)
1/2 chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease or line a 8×8 brownie pan.
  2. Melt the margarine in a heatproof bowl. Mix in sugareggs/egg replacer, and vanilla.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients together. Gradually mix into the wet mixture.
  4. Mix in chopped nuts and chocolate chips, if desired.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the toothpick test passes.
